Ever since I was little, I have always loved taking pictures. I remember being a little kid, messing around with my aunts film camera, pretending to take pictures and messing around with the exposed film. Of course I had no idea what the film was for at the time, but looking back, childhood is where my love for photography began.

When I got my first phone, I remember I would always take pictures of everything. Pictures of my friends, pictures of the sky, pictures of flowers and animals. You name it, I probably had a picture of it. I also enjoyed messing round with my moms small digital camera.

When I was scheduling classes for High School, I was very excited when I saw the photography option. However, I had no idea how much it would really impact my life. I was super excited when I got to shoot my first roll of film, but after developing it, the whole roll was blank. I was devastated and I felt like giving up. I felt like it wasn't right for me. Still, the next day I bought another roll of film and went out to shoot again. After those pictures came out, I realized how much fun photography really was and how good it felt to see your pictures turn out perfect. Although I do really enjoy shooting film, I prefer shooting digital a lot more.

I have always been into editing. Since I was little, I would edit pictures and videos on my phone daily. Making video and photo edits were a huge passion of mine until I started getting more into shooting my sophomore year. The cheer editing community I was a part of ended up getting too competitive for my liking, and I just didn't have the time to do it anymore.

My Style

Growing up with a little brother, sports has become a really big part of my life. One of the biggest things I tend to look forward to in life is sporting events, my own and my brothers. I am a varsity cheerleader for my high school, and my brother plays seventh grade football and baseball.

With that being said, I have recently taken a liking to shooting sports. It is super fun when you are able to shoot something you love. Yes, I do enjoy driving around town and shooting different landmarks or going to the park and shooting nature, but shooting sports is just so different. When shooting my brothers sports teams, it's so much fun to take pictures of the people you know, and then have them see your creativity through the pictures. My brothers teammates get super excited whenever I send them a picture I took of them at their game, and it makes me so happy to know that not only I get to enjoy the way my work turns out, but they do as well. Recently, I have been able to shoot many different sports, like cheerleading, football, and basketball. My love for sports photography has grown a lot more, and so has the quality of my work. I plan on continuing to shoot for the school's yearbook and for my brothers baseball team.
